Relationships II

The disorder must be beautiful. It is what makes our world unpredictable and free. We are free to make decisions, travel on seemingly random trajectories, create “abstractly,” and the direction of the universe does not seem to be fixed. Instead, it appears to us defined by our decisions, thoughtful and otherwise. It is loose and forgiving enough to accept our missteps and meandering. This is grace – that we can choose and determine outcome after outcome. And the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. It all appears to be heading somewhere and it is ours to inhabit. And yet, there seems to be a force beyond forces, that draws us and presses on us, and is ours to discover.

Let our lives be dedicated to the discovery of this force, this Presence. It must be good, and yet, it seems, it is also evil.
